Lemon Garlic Salmon


So I have been having this recipe on different types of meat a lot lately and I wanted to share it with you! This is only my second year living in an apartment and I really only learned to cook this year. By no means do I really know I am talking about. I am a 'throw it together' kind of chef haha. This recipe is super easy and quick to make. I usually don't measure when I cook so I apologize for the vague-ness of what I am about say l o l.

What you're gonna need:

Salmon (Thawed - I buy frozen Salmon from Aldi)
Garlic
Lemon
Olive Oil
Garlic Salt
Pepper
Brussel Sprouts

One of the reasons I love cooking this is because it requires very few ingredients. I put my salmon in a pan with olive oil and juice from half a lemon. Then I sprinkle some minced garlic, garlic salt, and pepper over the salmon and top it with two slices of lemon. I preheat the oven to 425 and cook it for about 20 minutes. While that's cooking is when I cut up the brussel sprouts (don't forget to cut off the bottom!) and make them. I heat olive oil with more minced garlic in a pan on medium heat. When the oil is hot I put in the brussel sprouts and some garlic salt. I cover the pan for a few minutes and then let them sautee for another few. This way they get a little softer but still crispy. When the salmon is done, you have a meal! Sometimes I also make cous cous. You can also swap out olive oil for about 2 tablespoons of better to make a butter garlic sauce as it's cooking. I have tried to recipe on salmon, tilapia, and chicken!
