Mock Neck Top

Top (similar in white) | Shorts | Shoes | Bag | Earrings

Somedays I really just want to throw on some denim shorts and a tank and call it good. With this outfit I can do just that while still having a little edgy-ness to my look. This top is from June and Beyond boutique, but I linked a similar one. I love simple summer outfits like this where you don't have to sacrifice looking fashionable for being comfortable.
Also, here's some big news involving the blog! I got a new camera! FINALLY! These pictures from this post and a few posts lately, I took with Jacy from Love Lenore (her blog is amazing check it out) and she has an awesome camera. I had been using a super old Canon Rebel and it just wasn't cutting it anymore. I had been planning on getting a new one for months now and after getting to shoot with Jacy I decided that I reallllyyy needed to do it. I'm hoping that this will really encourage me to continue blogging during the school year as well! For those of you that are curious I ordered a Nikon D3200 body with a 50mm f/1.8D lens. I can't wait to shoot with it! Low key might be stalking our UPS guy (laugh crying emoji).

Low Cut Floral Dress

Dress | Shoes (similar) | Earrings

Happy Tuesday! I am already soooo ready for this long weekend! We have a ton of family coming to stay and I am super excited. I also get to see my bae (!!!!) after two long weeks #finally.
This dress is Free People from June and Beyond Boutique and it is gorgeous! This dress would also transition into fall with some cute booties. I love the deep v on this dress because it adds something a little edgy to this ultra feminine floral number.

Summer Makeup Picks

As I was writing some posts for this week and scrolling through the blog I realized that I haven't done a beauty post since April (oops)! So today I am going to be sharing with you some of my summer beauty favorites, why I love them, and how I use them! Also, almost all of these are drugstore products so super budget friendly!

We'll start with the base... I combine these two products for a great summer glow! For days I don't need much coverage I will only wear the BB cream, but for blog pictures or work I wear the True Match foundation and add the Maybelline BB cream. I think the BB bronze adds a warm summer glow to your makeup without being shimmery or making you look oily. I always apply my foundation with a damp beauty blender and set it with a powder.

I just picked up the Maybelline concealer the other day and so far I love it! I put this under my eyes, on the bridge of my nose, and little in the middle of my chin and in between my eyebrows going up to my forehead. By doing this I think it really brightens your face and draws the most attention to your eyes and center of your face. The Becca skin perfector is a holy grail product for me for sure. This product is a pretty penny ($38), but coming from a college girl who pretty much only uses drug store now, this is totally worth it.  I have never used a highlighter I like better! I swipe this on my cheekbones and on the bridge of my nose. This also works great as a light color for eye shadow! The Jane Iredale facial spritz is a product I have been using forever. I use it to set my makeup and it's also so refreshing to use throughout the day.

I contour my face with the Fit Me foundation stick. To me this is easier than trying to find a perfectly matte bronzer, plus the staying power is so much better! I swipe this under my cheekbones, on my temples, and around my hairline and blend it all together with a damp beauty blender. I also use this to contour my nose a little. This Milani bronzer is great for summer because of the super fine shimmer it has in it. I use an Elf bronzing brush to apply this around my hairline and temples and occasionally under my cheekbones if I want some extra glow.

To be completely honest I didn't realize this polish was matte when I bought it, but it's sort of a happy accident because I ended up really liking it! It's super summery and fresh.

This very well might be my new favorite lip of the summer. I tend to stay in the light pink color family (basically every lip color I own LOL), but this is a little different than ones I have. I love the formula, it's matte but doesn't dry your lips out. I just really can't explain how much I loveeee this new lippie, so maybe go try out it yourself;) I know everyone wants to try a Kylie lip kit and this is my $8 alternative! I'm not sure if it's very close to any of her colors, but hey I'll take it!

Let me know if you try any of these products or if you have any questions about my beauty routine!

Little Red (Floral) Dress

 Dress (under $20!) | Shoes | Bag | Necklace

I love red, but I hardly ever wear it. When I saw this dress I automatically loved it and then when I saw that it was under $20 I had to have it. This dress is the definition of the perfect summer dress. It's light, breezy, and floral! Even though floral tends to be pretty girly, I made this dress a little edgier with a choker and studded sandals. I am also loving this lip color, it is the new Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor and I will definitely be picking up some more colors. Thanks for reading! xox Brianna

Ruffle Off-the-Shoulder

Top (similar) | Shorts | Bag | Earrings | Shoes | Lip Color (new favorite, only $8)

I love this sweet little off-the-shoulder top, it is perfect for those super hot days when you don't necessarily want to wear a tank top. I love the ruffle details and light color that make it a little more feminine. These denim shorts are my all time favorite this summer! I have already talked about them a few times, but the fit and quality are amazing! I hadn't had a pair of Levi's in years, but when fall comes around I definitely want to try out a pair of their jeans. I have had my eye on these in the wash "open water." I don't really have a light wash pair I am crazy about and I think these would be super versatile. As always, thank you so much for taking the time to read! xo Brianna

Summer Wishlist

Matching set (top / shorts) | Sandals | Crossbody Bag
Backpack | Swimsuit (top / bottoms) | Halter top

Summer has definitely hit Missouri at full force, it's going to be in the high 90's for the next two weeks!! Since I sort of forgot to do a June wishlist post (oops) I figured I would just do a general summer wishlist. My favorite thing from this wishlist is the matching set. I have been wanting to get a cute matching set forever and I have never found one I totally love that is in a reasonable price range. This one is from H&M and under $60 for both pieces! Thanks for reading & let me know whats on your summer wishlist! xo Brianna

Palm Romper

This is my second palm romper post of the summer (oops! ha). Like I said in the other palm romper post (here) rompers are my summer go-to because they are so easy and you don't even really have to think about putting an outfit together! They are also usually super comfortable and can easily be dressed up or down.

Embroidered Peasant Top

Top (other cute options here & here) / Shorts / Necklace (similar) / Shoes / Sunnies
I feel like everything this summer is embroidered and I'm not complaining! I love simple pieces with lots of details. I have also been seeing a lot of lace and crochet inserts that really add detail. This top is from June and Beyond Boutique, but I also linked two super cute options. This one is my favorite and has a very Free People feel to it.
